We listen. We partner with you to get the work done. We care.
Who We Are
Over a combined 20 years partnering with 200+ companies, we have seen the inner workings of sustainability from every angle: the early skepticism, the bold public commitments, the greenwashing pitfalls, and the hard work of implementation. In recent years, the conversation has shifted from "what should we do?" to "how do we actually make it happen?" We have seen that transition up close while accompanying sustainability teams and partners in finance, strategy, procurement, marketing and operations. What we have learned is that the hardest part is connecting people across the organization to turn intent into action, bridging ambition and everyday decisions so that sustainability becomes embedded in how business gets done.
This is where resilience comes into the picture and why we have created Unless. Sustainability is, at its core, a resilience play. It is about building companies that last and that do something worth lasting for. These are companies that use the world’s resources wisely, treat people with care, and exist to solve the problems that matter most, like feeding the world, curing disease, and inventing the technologies that make a clean, more efficient future possible. Unless we build those companies now, that future will be out of reach.
How we work
What stops a great strategy from being implemented? How do you build a team that is equipped to drive sustainability work forward? How do you make confident decisions when the landscape keeps shifting? How do you get all decision-makers on board?
These are the questions we show up to answer. We show up personally, at a senior level, with every client. We take time to understand the problem before we try to solve it, and we work collaboratively with our clients, building the capacity, skills, and perspective that they can take forward after the engagement ends.
We are also independent. We’re not invested in a specific outcome and we’re not there to validate what the client already thinks. We’re able to bring a listening ear and an honest perspective to each conversation.
Finally, trust is at the center of everything we do, and we want to form lasting partnerships. We will see the job through and we’ve got your back the next time you need us.
